The Centre for Research in Business Management, CEGEA, was recognized in 1979 as a research structure of the Universitat Politècnica de València. It was previously known as Center of Specialization in Management of Agrifood Companies, developing its activity in the former Department of Economics of the Agrifood Compnay, where it was created in the late 1970s.
Over the years, researchers from various disciplines have been incorporated, a fact that has led to the current existence of four research groups, which are:
- Agricultural economy and cooperativism
- Accounting, audit, taxation and public law
- Law and business entrepreneurship
- Innovation and social responsibility
This continuos growth has made it possible to go beyond the agrifood sector and nowadays transversal studies and projects are continously been embraced.
